The 300 SEL was an epic car. It's design is timeless and even in 1971, it came with a 6.8 L, 428 bhp, V8 motor capable of hitting 265 kph. A hundred came up in 4.2s, back in 1971! It proved to the entire world that the Stuttgart-based car-maker could easily overcome weight and dimension issues and build a very agile, fun-to-drive and fast sports saloon
