CHEVROLET CAMARO SS

American sportscars have been the laughing stock of Europe for decades now and the US passion for 12-liter engines, boat-like handling and interiors that look like they came from a cheap toy factory have become the bywords for American engineering. But then there’s always been that romance of the silver screen, the dream of lining up on the drag strip with the car rocking, the V8 humming and the pink slip in the pocket as the fine girl in front gets ready to drop the flag.

And now the Chevy Camaro SS, the biggest slice of American Pie, is coming to Europe. In fact it’s already right here in Germany in the hands of Geiger Cars, and the last laugh might be on the Europeans. This is a good car.

Despite the Camaro’s rich heritage, apart from a few grey imports from eccentric types in cowboy boots, most of us only saw these big muscle car beasts in the hands of smoking cool villains and teens that surely couldn’t afford such performance burning rubber in late night drag races in implausible films.

BMW i Solar Carport Concept

Beware the idea of a "death spiral," heralded by some as the inevitable result for electric utilities of mass adoption of renewable energy sources--particularly solar.

Under this scenario, advances in renewable energy will allow consumers to generate more of their own power. As more customers leave the network, the theory goes, companies will be forced to raise rates to cover fixed costs--like power-transmission infrastructure--forcing even more people away.

In keeping with its quest for offering environment-friendly alternatives to its main line of vehicles, such as the i3 and i8, BMW unveils a brand new concept that takes efficiency a step further.  The carport is constructed using carbon fiber, bamboo (due to its quick-growing attributes), and features a roof made entirely out of solar panels. Made to supplement the Wallbox Pro charging system while taking some of the load off the grid, the Carport is nowhere near as powerful as the current wall charging system and is only really appealing to those who live in areas that are perpetually sunny.

2014 Honda City Diesel is India’s Most Fuel Efficient car

Back in April this year, Honda took the title of India’s Most Fuel Efficient Car with the Amaze diesel which clocked 25.8 km/l.

This prestigious title has now been conferred to the all-new Honda City diesel, which has an ARAI rated claim of 26 km/l!

Powered by the same 1.5-liter i-DTEC EarthDreams diesel engine as the Amaze, the City diesel’s power and torque outputs are also identical at 100 PS and 200 Nm. However, where the Amaze gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, the City gets a 6-speed unit.

On the top-end VX model, the City will come equipped with an engine starter button, sunroof, alloy wheels, touch-screen controlled automatic climate control system, a music system with USB, iPod, Bluetooth and Aux-in, rear AC vents, dual front airbags, ABS and EBD.

The acceleration power of 2014 City diesel is fierce; the car can maneuver at 100 kmph distances in just 12.8 secs. The City can rip past 163 kmph, higher than 140kmph attained by Amaze. The strong attention grabbing attribute of Amaze was the best-in-class mileage generated by the diesel car at 25.8 kmpl. The new City will outdo this magnificent figure and will render world class 26kmpl fuel economy values.

The new City diesel will launch on the 7th of January, and is packed with amazing unopened mysteries especially with the Exciting H and Sleek Cross Motion design theme.
