Bajaj Auto 'U' Car Concept - Auto Expo 2014

 
Bajaj Auto showcased the U-car concept at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014. This U car quadricycle concept managed to turn a lot of heads. The U car is the passenger version of the RE 60, which was showcased by Bajaj at the 2012 Auto Expo. Bajaj RE 60 has been spied testing many times and is believed to be launched soon . Once launched the RE 60 will compete with Tata Nano.

According to the company this quadricycle concept is lighter than the RE 60 which weighs at around 400 Kg. Bajaj U car concept is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-valve, triple spark engine. Bajaj has equipped  the concept car with fuel injection as the standard equipment. This front wheel car is mated to an automatic transmission, which will ensure hassle free rides in the traffic, as the driver will not have to change gears at regular intervals.




 
The weight of the U Car concept is 300 kg and it runs on the Gasoline fuel. Seeing the constantly rising prices of petrol and diesel this gasoline powered concept from Bajaj can prove to be a good alternative for petrol engine vehicles. Bajaj has equipped the U Car concept with air conditioner , scissor doors and alloy wheels provides a distinctive appeal to the concept car. The U Car concept surely is a head turner and will attract many buyers once launched.

This U-car concept could prove to be a very good daily use vehicle or travel car for small families specially in metro cities  which are getting crowded day by day and where traffic jams are a common problem. This concept vehicle can revolutionize the automobile industry if launched at the right time with right pricing. The U-car can also prove to be a good option for two -wheelers due to its mini size. Bajaj’s U car is targeted at the end user segment, who want a small car for daily use with an upmarket feel.



 
With the launch of the U-Car, Bajaj has introduced its new U-brand of vehicles. The U brand of vehicles will consist of a range of personal mobility solutions.
