The Maruti Suzuki Alto has been around for a while now. While we in India got the Alto 800 as a new entry-level model, for the rest of the world, the Alto has rarely received an upgrade. There are rumors of a facelift Alto launch expected during the festive season and like most Maruti Suzuki cars, this one too expected to be a hot-seller.
Meanwhile, an updated Maruti Suzuki Alto has been spotted testing already. This new model is expected to replace the Alto K10 in India. If you look closely, you could spot minute similarities between the current Alto 800. Which means this is to be the design language of the Alto family of small cars.
The new Suzuki Alto is expected to run an upgraded 1.0 litre K10 unit with 68 PS and 90 Nm of punch. The Maruti Suzuki Alto is also among the most fuel efficient cars available in the Indian market. The present Alto K10 returns a fuel economy of 20.2 kmpl!
