Utility major Mahindra has launched a Special Edition of the Scorpio SUV in the Indian market. The Scorpio which has proved to be one of the best SUV’s in its class is still doing 4000 plus units defying the competition which have launched more premium SUV’s in the same segment. The Scorpio has been for 11 years and still commands a good premium and high resale value.


The Scorpio Special edition will be made in limited numbers and only 500 will be produced. It is priced at 11.88 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

Mahindra Centuro

Mahindra Two Wheelers launched their second 110cc bike "Centuro"



The Centuro’s claim to fame is a car like key fob that has an incorporated remote control and LED torch. The Centuro 110 also comes equipped with an engine immobilizer, LED pilot lamps and a white backlit semi digi speedo console.

The Centuro providing better fuel efficiency  85.4kpl (ARAI certified mileage). In comparison, the Hero Passion Pro manages 84kpl and the Honda Dream Yuga promises 73kpl. 








The Centuro is loaded with features like the flip-key with 96-bit secure access (India’s first for a motorcycle), engine immobilizer, anti-theft alarm, DTE (distance to empty), Find me lamps and LED parking lights. The performance of the Centuro with 106.7cc MCI-5 single-cylinder engine is on par with the segment standards – it produces 8.5PS and 8.5Nm of torque and the power is delivered via four-speed all-up shift pattern gearbox. The bike has a dry weight of 111kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12.7 litres. The Centuro gets drum brakes at both – front and rear but a new version with front disc brake is expected shortly. The Centuro is currently available in two colours- Red and Black with bold graphics.




BMW launches new 5 Series starting at Rs. 46.9 lakhs


BMW has introduced the 5 Series model update in the Indian market. The 5 Series is one of the most successful models from the German car maker in the Indian market and is locally produced at the Chennai plant. The car is one of the important models and accounts for more than over one third of local production in India. The sedan was launched in Gurgoan and is available across all dealerships.
 
The sixth generation of the BMW 5 Series comes with three distinct lines: the Luxury Line, the Modern Line and the M Sport introduced for the first time on this model. BMW had introduced similar variant nomenclature on the 3 Series.

The 5 Series comes with diesel engine options: 520d, 525d and 530d. The 520d is available in two trims: Modern and Luxury while the 525d comes with Luxury Plus trim and the 530d with M Sport trim.

The new 5 Series is currently available in diesel variants only and the company may announce the petrol variants in future. (Prices are ex-showroom Delhi)

The new 5 Series engines (530d, 525d and 520d) are equipped with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and impress with their refined power and highest efficiency. The engines are mated to a 8 speed auto gear box which offer the excellent acceleration and impressive performance.
