Grand i10 Sedan coming soooooon.....

Hyundai To Launch Grand i10 Sedan In 2014

It is expected that the Hyundai i10 sedan will measure under 4-metres to avail the lower taxation. This car may replace the very old Accent, which is still being sold by Hyundai in India. The car will be priced slightly higher than the i10 hatchback and much lower than the Verna. The i10 sedan will be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine which powers the i10 hatchback, but a diesel too will be added to the line-up. Whether Hyundai will use the existing 1.4-litre diesel engine from the i20 or introduce a new engine for the i10 sedan and hatchback is not known.

Hyundai i20 Sedan "HB20S" (Hyundai not confimed about Indian Market)

The Hyundai HB20S shares platform with i20 hatchback, which makes it quite different from the present Verna model, especially from the insides.

The upcoming Hyundai HB20S also has few components common with the i20 premium hatch. The length of this vehicle is more than 4 metres, similar to that of the Hyundai Verna. So even though it is a sedan version of the i20, the design of this vehicle is quite different from the competition. The Hyundai HB20S has been officially launched in South American markets such as Brazil, where it competes against Chevrolet Prisma and sedan version of the Volkswagen Golf hatchback.

Engines & Specifications of Hyundai HB20S

The upcoming HB20S has been fitted with a 1.6 litre petrol engine that generates 128 bhp of power. In addition, it also comes with a 1.0 litre petrol engine, producing a maximum power output of 80 bhp. Two transmission options are provided in this vehicle- a 5 speed manual and a 4 speed automatic. It is expected that seven different versions of the HB20S would be available in the international market. Two of these variants get the 1.0 litre engine, while five of them are fitted with the 1.6 litre power train. The names of these variants are: 1.0 Comfort Plus Manual, 1.0 Comfort Style Manual, 1.6 Comfort Plus Manual, 1.6 Comfort Style Manual, 1.6 Comfort Auto Style, 1.6 Premium Manual and 1.6 Premium Automatic. With two different options of engines under its hood, Hyundai clearly aims to spoil its customers for choice, through this vehicle. Both engines perform well according to their capacities. A buyer looking for more power would go for the 1.6 liter version, while another buyer wanting a good-looking vehicle at an affordable price can select the 1.0 liter variant.

Exterior, Interior & Safety Features of Hyundai HB20S

The design of the Hyundai HB20S follows the fluidic design language that is seen on all new models such as Verna, Elantra, Eon, i10 and i20. Reference to nature has been made and dynamic lines give the vehicle a modern appearance. It also has ten spoke alloy wheels which add class to the overall appearance of the car. With a steeply raked rear window, this car appears to be bigger than it actually is, presenting a Coupe like appearance. The boot of this vehicle is fairly voluminous and has a chrome strip at the bottom for a sophisticated look.
