Volkswagen Polo 1.6 Discontinued in India

Volkswagen Discontinued the Polo 1.6 in India.Polo 1.6 was the performance version of Polo sporting 1.6 L Petrol engine it.Polo 1.6 was pulled out due to the poor sales.Petrol prices has been increasing day by day.And its very hard to maintain a petrol car. Most of the petrol cars were selling poor.Volkswagen has stopped the production of the Polo 1.6.But some of the dealers have polo 1.6 unsold with them.SO if you are in the market for one performance petrol Hatch Go and get Polo 1.6 with Huge discounts.Volkswagen is offering Polo with both petrol and diesel engines.Volkswagen has another 1.2 L Petrol powered polo also. But this polo is getting good number.Because of the 1.2 L Engine it is much less expensive to maintain and also this engine gives good fuel economy. But the diesel Polo is out selling Petrol Polo.

Also another Problem with polo 1.6 is that it is only available in the Highline trim only which is more expensive than the 1.2 L High line trim.Price differnce both these models are around 26,500 RS.Polo 1.6 is priced at RS 7.58 lakhs (On-Road Mumbai) and for the Polo 1.2 High line is RS 7.27 lakhs (On-Road Mumbai). In India More buyers are looking for Practical car which gives good performance with high Mileage.Only a small amount of people want the performance version.Polo 1.6 L engine gives 105 PS of power and 153 NM of Torque.Top speed is 180 Kmph. But Volkswagen is not getting great numbers on Polo last month they sold only 3498 Units. So we can expect more Petrol models to be discontinued in the coming months.Last week Honda discontinued Civic in India.

Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG Review

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon in its latest form and burbling V8 under its boxy yet stylish body is one of the coolest cars money can buy. As if the punch under the hood was not enough, those power crazy maniacs at AMG have hinted at an even bigger monster in the form of the Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG for 2012.

At first glance, calling the latest G63 AMG and its big brother (the G65 AMG) new seems silly, given that the G-Class can be described as a venerable, even evergreen model in light of its continued production in the face of newer designs. But the G-Class exudes an aura of ruggedness and dependability that few vehicles, Mercedes or not, can match. Continuous improvements to the looks, interior and powertrain of the G-Class has resulted in a vehicle that is far from what the original designers envisioned.

Take as an example the new G63. Its drivetrain is adapted from the latest iteration of the ML63, which means it has AMG’s 7G-Tronic automatic transmission plus ESP, Mercedes’ excellent version of traction control. The heart of the G63 is AMG’s twin turbo V8 that punches out more than 540 horsepower. Even the jaded cannot fault that figure. And lest you imagine that the G63 is just all brawn, consider that it now rides on newly-designed 20-inch wheels with recalibrated suspension settings to reduce NVH levels. Yet it still maintains the rugged dependability the G-Class has become known for.

Inside, new instrument panel and state-of-the-art infotainment and assist systems greet the driver, complete with a TFT display panel. And apart from the standard leather trim, the G63 can be ordered with carbon fiber touches to lend it a more distinctive look.

For those who think that 540 horsepower is just adequate for this land bruiser, the truly exclusive-oriented can opt for the G65, which features a monstrous V12 fitted with twin turbochargers. With more than 610 horsepower to throw around, this animal of an engine should give the latest AMG G-Class the grunt to conquer any obstacle.

1971 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 6.8 AMG

The 300 SEL was an epic car. It's design is timeless and even in 1971, it came with a 6.8 L, 428 bhp, V8 motor capable of hitting 265 kph. A hundred came up in 4.2s, back in 1971! It proved to the entire world that the Stuttgart-based car-maker could easily overcome weight and dimension issues and build a very agile, fun-to-drive and fast sports saloon
